Newcastle City Council Pass Motion recognising genocide in Bosnia

One of our earliest achievements was working with Newcastle City Council to pass a motion recognising the genocide in Bosnia. We worked closely with the council to write a motion, which was subsequently proposed by Councillor Rebecca Shatwell and seconded by Councillor Ann Schofield. It was unanimously agreed at a Full Council meeting on the 27th June 2018.

Councillors Rebecca and Ann both subsequently took part in our first study trip to Bosnia in the autumn of that year. We continue to work closely with both, as well as Newcastle City Council.
